Cab mounts???

Hey guys, I definitely have the frame beaming going on in my truck. Has a vibration/hop to it from about 45ish to 65mph. Loaded the bed down with mulch and stone the other day and was smooth as silk. Truck is an 04 ecsb. I understand it's a truck and will ride better when loaded but gm also has a bulletin out for this issue. My question is, is everyone going with factory cab mounts or is there an aftermarket solution that is a better option. Thanks in advance!!!

There is an updated cab mount for that bulletin. I posted it in a few threads a while back but I can find them you're gonna have to search.

I just bought the updated cab mounts.

I also have the beam, have not installed these yet. I hope they work or else I think i'll need a new transfer case haha

Ok then, so stick with factory mounts, got it. Anything else that could help this issue if it's only gonna help a little? Running 20x12's on thin tires doesn't help the riding situation along with 160,000 mile factory shocks.

I think you might be overshooting the life of the factory shocks and combined with the tires might be the problem. I would suggest shocks first, that's the route I would take first. IIRC the frame beaming only comes into play with an empty truck, my truck never had the frame beaming till I took out my tool box with tools weighing close to 1200lbs and now rides like shit.....

Yeah man shocks really don't last past 60k under normal driving. Definitely will help if you replace them first.

I tried the Gabriels on my 2007 NBS 2500HD gasser, and they sucked, or at least I did not like them and took them back. Rode like a friend of mine Moms 1968 4 door Cadillac with a 472. Rancho's or one of the Bilsteins are popular on this and 2 other sites.......

90% of fox shocks are serviceable, that said they should be checked yearly for proper nitrogen charge and have the fluid changed in them in 10-50k miles (interval of oil change is determined on severity of use)

Ive had my bilsteins for about a year maybe a little longer and its starting to ride like ass again, dont mean to derail thread here.

I've been happy with my Rancho 9000s. Not a fan of the bilstein 5100. Ride like crap and I've never had them last as long in other vehicles as these.
