Kyle and I went over and met Tom and his parents on Friday. Kyle informed the parents of what's been going on, and I talked to Tom separately. He made some good points to me, stating that 3rd parties getting themselves involved did nothing to help the situation. He seemed to be taking it seriously, and didn't try to BS me. He did tell me that the reason items and descriptions mismatched, and the quality of the parts were not always true, was because most of the parts were out of his sight in Ohio. He realizes that what he did was not the best decision there. As far as the rolling chassis that MPSoldier bought: the whole deal sounded weird to me, and complicated itself simply because the buyer is deployed and his friend took delivery and made the payment. I personally know how difficult communication can be while deployed and how friends can take advantage of your absence. It's a crap situation.
All-in-all, I do have confidence everything will get sorted out, and I had no reason to believe he was intentionally trying to screw anyone.
