Get boost and egt gauges first to see what's happening. Lift pump is your next item to put up. EFI live tuned on a dyno to get your tune set with a printout to see what it's doing from baseline to your selected tune parameters. You will need the lift pump anyway so just admit it's time if you're upping power on the truck.

I'd say Predator or PPE would probably be your best bet. EFILive is great, but it's not a "Programmer" like PPE & Predator. I'd stay away from Bullydog; I've driven a few trucks with Bullydog tunes and wasn't impressed. Too much rattle mainly. If you go with EFILive, I'd get ahold of IdahoRob. A Friend of mine has his tuning, and it's really nice.

i guess I'm looking for something simple, i don't wanna have to dyno the truck or replace a busted transmission or rear end.

thanks for all the input. if there is a simple way to improve mpg and tow, I'm all ears.
