Appreciate the help.

Anyone want a suncoast 105x converter? It’ll be cheap but I come with it cause my wife’s gonna toss me out.

If it’s Marks turbo I would use Marks tuning then see where you’re at. Can’t the stall be changed on the converter as well for a cheaper option?

yes but that affects coupling as well. increasing stall to match another converter does not mean coupling will be the same between the two depending on the internal builds

Tuning will be your cheapest/ easiest solution. Sure the converter isn’t ideal and there are much better options but you still will probably end up needing different tuning to make it right.

Pulling the trans, and sending the converter back to suncoast to get reworked. Will consider some of marks tuning after that. Thanks for the guidance

Limitless Converter or Goerend R is where you need to start. I've made this mistake with my own trucks twice now and a correct converter makes all the difference in how it will drive and act from idle to full tilt. Wrong converter will take the most badass setup and turn it in to a pile of garbage!

Back a few years ago, a loose converter meant no fluid coupling, but things have come so far in just the last 4-5 years, that you can now have a converter that will flash and stall up to 2500-2700 RPM but still couple well and put power down. A properly selected converter can make or break a turbo setup. I've been installing a lot of R converters lately, and they're great with stock turbos, smaller compounds, or mid size singles (either VVT or fixed geometry). I've never used Evan's converter, but from what I hear, it acts very similar to the R. I don't think you would be disappointed with either one.

The 1078 has more fluid coupling then the R and works a lot better in higher hp applications with vgt’s.
