I've been reading good things about the PPE stage V kit with the included triple disc converter, and it's quite a bit cheaper than a sun coast kit/converter. I know you guys swear by sun coast, but does anyone like Mike L that sees these transmissions daily, have any input on these kits?

A few guys local to me use the PPE stage V kit, and they're pushing a lot more power than I ever will, and they love it.

I know you guys think I'm beating a dead horse with this, but i like to see facts, real world experience etc before I dump 4k+ into this. Basically I want to hear why the suncoast kits are so much better than others, and worth the extra 1-2k over other kits. Maybe you guys can link me to a few threads where I can do some heavy reading to better understand.

I'm sorry if I'm coming across as hard-headed  I'm a teenager, it's what I'm supposed to do.

Edit: I've also decided that Josh @ top notch garage will be building the trans, if not pulling and installing it too, regardless of what parts I decide on.

Have you talked with Josh yet? Josh will know what can be run and what can't. Besides I can assure you Josh will not install something he doesn't believe in...

If you are going to have a reputable builder like josh do the trans then you need to use whatever parts he recommends and not a "kit" that you can save some money on. You said you were going to spend 4k, well a well built trams from a reputable buder isn't much more so at least you are somewhat on the right track getting a good builder.

And to answer your question in a simple way, the ppe kits don't have the technology the suncoast kits have as far as clutch material tech and ect...

Let Josh pick out your parts and converter. Let a reputable builder work with the parts he can tweak and be comfortable with.
