I got everything buttoned up today from installing my built trans and it has been crazy, hopefully yall can follow me while I try to explain. It started off fine, I filled up the trans and took it for a drive around the neighborhood to make sure it was going to be ok to drive to dealer to have the fast relearn done. It shifted threw 3 gears ok and then I came to a stop and the CEL came on and it was stuck in 2nd gear with code P0846 (TFP sensor B performance), got back to the house and put in park and then it wouldn't let me shift in any gear I got the famous "shift range inhibited". So anyways I called builder we discussed and I ended up replacing NSBU switch. Drove around again same thing but now im throwing all kinds of codes, low voltage and high voltage code on A,B, and D TFP sensors and a C0400 and P0184. Cleared all those after I cleaned all the connectors on the trans and now im just getting the shift range inhibited with no CEL. So I got to messing around and tried to change it to 4lo and 4high and it wont go into either, so im wondering if this could be causing all my problems, because btw when I installed the trans I pulled the transfer case apart and addressed the pump rub issue. I wish I wouldn't have now because this makes for too many variables. By no means at all am I trying to bash the builder I know Brad will get me squared away but just want to get some insight from yall on the situation. Sorry for the long read and thanks for any help!!

if the t case isnt working either i would check that end of the harness also.

Yea im going to go back over everything on it, but whats weird is with the key on and in neutral when I push the 4lo or 4high button it starts blinking like normal and you can hear the motor on the tcase but then just goes back to 2 wheel, so maybe I messed something up in the tcase??? Also talked to the builder today after I got the pan off and he is sending me a new valve body and PSA so I got my fingers crossed!!!

Got new valve body but it has this on it, where the old one did not. What is this? is this a 6 speed valve body? If so is the valve body itself the same if I remove this?

All late '03 through '05 valve bodies had the G solenoid. It was not activated on the LB7's; only the LLY and 8.1 gas motors. The G solenoid drops mainline pressure 150 psi below 8% throttle and raises to full mainline at above 7% throttle. The valve body will work on all 5 speed Allison 1000.

Ok Thanks Mike, The reason I asked is because the valve body that was on the trans didn't have one, the bolts I have are not long enough to go thru it
