Just got around to finishing my dual fuel filtration setup today. It took longer than I originally thought it would due to my long hours at work and busy with several other things. So this week I finally found the time to get started on it and finished it today. However, it is similar to someone else that had built it but I did not know someone else made the same setup as I did. Mine is different though, I had this plan going on for over a year and never got around to do it until now.

I'll have to gather up the parts list that I used to build this for the details. It's at work. Besides, there are many different ways to build this setup. I built mine with no cutting in the factory lines, even used a quick disconnect to the factory fuel fitting.

Where did you find a quick-disconnects for the factory fuel lines? I couldnt find any in 1/2". Id love to do that instead of the hose clamps I had to use. Very nice setup.

I modified a GM oil cooler fitting used on the 5.7l engines. I got it at Napa, the ID of the connector was quite small, I drilled it carefully to enlarge the diameter of the connector, forgot what size I did, maybe 3/8". Then used a hose fitting on the quick disconnect and slipped the hose on and clamped it. If you want the part number, PM me.

You can probably buy a hose kit from Air Dog. They have 1/2" quick connect crimp on ends on their hose.

Looks good:thumb:. I have built a couple of these now. I like the Idea of using the factory connections, however my lines are already cut. 1/2" compression fittings fit our fuel lines perfectly with no leaks (for others who already have cut lines).

You guys (Ridin' GMC and Burn Down) have been on parallel paths with very nearly the same results, great minds think alike.

I like the factory connections and the rear mounted separator but wonder if the PPE pump may be better than the Holley?

A parts list would be fantastic

I'm not sold on the PPE pump. The edelbrock 1792 on Reece's truck and the PPE pump we put on a friends truck are way quieter than my pump... I like the BD max flows or the Fuelabs pump, I'm going to try one of those when the PPE dies.

The longevity of the PPE pump isnt very good. I run Edelbrock 1792 because I used to live in Reno where Summit was and I could just return it. I have went through 5 now but this one has lasted 3 years now. PPE is a good cheap option but I think I will go a different route next.

The key to getting the pumps or any non specific(holly, summit etc.) to last is pre-filtering the pump. I went thru 3 holley's on the dodge before figuring this out. Last one was on for 3 years and was still running 16psi at wot when I sold it. Just a small inline filter or placing spin on before pump will do the trick.
