Thanks with my luck #3 will happen. Seems like a shame to screw a very low mileage motor.

so taking a any milage engine to a ZERO mile engine is a bad thing????

keep the dual fuellers off till the new short block is done... then put them on after the built short block is in.

IMO that would be the most costeffective way with min down time of said truck.

Given the track record with LBZ/LMM pistons, I have purchased a short block with intentions of building at least the bottom end before mine blows. This way I can cut the downtime to a minimum.

I would build it yourself Dave. You will really enjoy the do it yourself experience. And if you need help just let me know. I already have all the tools from my build you will need.

Guy will ask you how much hp you want and then you go from there... IIRC I was quoted 15,000$ for forged Mahle pistons, forged carillos, cam, valve job, clevite bearings and machine work... basically everything short of the 7.1 stroker and ported heads. I like like the idea of him building the engine and me not having to supply a block right away:D

I am in the process of buying Tony's LBZ short block he just took out of Dirty Hooker and checked......contains 16:1 Mahle forged pistons, Carrillos, Socal cam, ATS flexplate, Socal balancer, main studs, stock caps and Tony's magic for $10k

Dave, I think since you are closer to Tony, he would be well worth the money

I will probably take you up on that offer Curtis thanks for offering.

Is that with a core? He mentioned to me about that motor.

im debating on the same thing. Its kinda tempting to put the dual fuelers on and just not go balls to the wall with tuning.

I can build one of my motors and you can buy the block or bring me your core. I can do what ever you would like.

Guy and i work very close back and forth, He has referred many customers to me for engine builds.

Tony I will most likely end up getting you to do my motor, I'm just exploring my options. I have heard to many horror stories to risk going somewhere else when I know first hand the kind of work you do. Plus I can be at your shop in less then 4 hours.:thumb:

got that right larry, i will have 2xCP3's and Trent's twins on my truck soon enough. should last me a nice long time. i dont plan to go crazy with it. just would like to run an 11.9 and at the sea level that shouldnt be to much of a problem.

i vote to do 2xCP3's on your stock motor, just dont be crazy with fuel. then either build the motor your self over the winter or have Tony take care of you, or who ever you have build it.

duel fuelers and a cheetah isnt too hot of a motor, mines still alive :thumb:

How long have you had the dual fuelers on there? Id just like to run my same tune but hold all my rail pressure and see how she runs. Now i drain my rail to high 21,000's and its calling for 25,000
