Man one of these would be cool in the 83!! :coolspot:

How are the backs of them going to be setup as far as what transmission will mate up to them?

What kind of injection pump are you all using?

What kind/size of turbo? what type of mount; T3, T4, etc.?

This is very cool!

Did you ever get new power numbers out of it?

We're still trying to do some tweaking and get some better injectors. So in short, no :)

The bellhousing is a standard SAE-2 size so anything that will bolt up to that should be able to be modified to work.

As of now, we are using a Bosch pump, but that may change.

The turbo for now is a Garret, T4 mount. It's not quite right for us and we will be changing it down the road...

Keep the questions coming :D

What kind of ECM and if someone were to get one of these engines, et. al., and wanted to tweak the tuning for whatever reason, would that be possible?

Any thoughts of using a VNT or VGT or VVT??

How many RPMs is one of these capable of turning without grenading?

What's an expected life span (in miles and/or hours of run time) of one of these before a guy needs to spend a couple hours rebuilding/replacing? :D

How different is one of these capable of 150hp vs. the ones capable of 700+hp??? That's quite a big range!!

We are still working to secure funding to be able to take this engine into full-scale production. So far, we have a few potential investors but no commitments yet. (You'd think that being able to create about 150 American jobs would make someone, somewhere want to come forward with some funding.)

The engines will be competitively priced in the market with other engines of this size.

Because as of right now it makes better business sense to move jobs to china. Expect a lot of companies to make the move in the coming years. If things don't change, we are sunk.:(

The ECM is proprietary. Tuning would be possible without too much hassle.

We are looking into VGTs. Just need to find the right one to test.

We are expecting max torque around 2000 and max hp around 3000 with a max rpm of about 3500.

The life span is yet to be determined. We are currently working on getting everything working right before we worry about how long it will work :) But keep in mind that with the cooling system that we are using, the whole engine runs cooler, i.e. we can run longer.

We are planning 3,4, and 6-cylinder models. The 3 can be dialed back to produce less if need be. Another thing that we have designed into this engine family is that a 3 just looks like a 6 cut in half. Other than long parts (cam, crank, carrier, manifolds, oil pan and rails) everything is interchangeable between the 3, 4, and 6. So you could swap a cylinder jug, head, rod, piston, or entire front gear set off of a 6 and onto a 3 or 4.
