This was a somewhat rough tune...need to pull some fuel out of it. Runs much cleaner on the street and makes more boost as well. Still pretty happy with almost 1000hp at the wheels though. Outside air temp and intake air temps were about as bad as they could get.

If intake air temps werent 140*+ and outside air temp wasnt 90*, im sure it would have been over 1000rwhp.

No MAF sensor mounted/hooked up yet, so that will help cut down on smoke and spool up time once we get that mounted and tuned.

Engine/transmission/twins all built/fabricated/spec'd by BT DieselWorks and Mike Schulte.

Tuned by BT DieselWorks

Basic specs of the engine are Fingers pistons, Carillos, stock heads, big twins, big injectors, dual CP3's.

Trans is a custom build with a various mix of parts, including billet input/output.

Hopefully we can get the truck to the track sometime soon to see what it will run in the 1/4 mile.

Not bad for a silly LiLLY though. :D

This truck is FUEL ONLY.

It has never had nitrous, water meth, or anything else ever installed on it. :thumb:

Where and when did you dyno the truck? I thought you were giving up on building a motor. Congrats!

Does your Mom know you are wrecking your truck?

Its not my truck! :p:

Its Schulte's 2004 ex-LB7. This was somewhere in CT at a dyno day, I forget where. I was in Massachusetts helping my girlfriends parents move so I had to send Schulte tunes remotely. Thus the "rough tune".

My truck still has dmaxfireman's factory stock LBZ long block in it, Dipper 40% sticks, and an LBZ turbo on it...thats it. This is the 5th engine thats been in it, and Im too busy (and too tired) to do anything else with it so Im leaving it alone. It even has the factory speed limiter re-enabled, ha.

Ok that makes more sense I was confused by the thread subject with you saying BT Dieselworks tuned LLY so I thought your truck. I didn't know you tuned other then your own. :)

I wish I made the trip down but there was a big show in Brockton(1 town away from my house) so I went there. I heard the dyno was handing out so very nice numbers. That load makes a huge difference.

Im not sure how many trucks were there total, but I think there was only 1 other truck that beat Schulte. It was a built and nitrous-sprayed 6.4 Ford that made a little over 1,000rwhp.

I made 876 down about 20psi. I think the load dyno would help spool the 83 and I could have given him a run for his money! What'd his truck make last year on the brand x dyno?

My truck actually has more than 526,000 miles on it now. Factory intercooler, AC compressor, lower boost hoses, and the rear axle and transfer case have never been opened. There is no reason why the intercooler and some other parts should still be in one piece based on the boost pressures I'm seeing.

This motor has 45-50,000 miles on it since we built it, and the Fingers pistons are holding up great. Most of that with the twins on.

I've been driving around for a while since the last time I dynoed, which was 737hp/1333ft-lbs with fuel and boost issues.

On the dyno yesterday I made less boost on the atmospheric charger than I've seen on the road at 100+mph in the past (indicated by the autometer elite "upper warn" function, as I can't really watch the gauges when accelerating at that rate).

Saturday I also dynoed at the same event and made 767hp. Overnight Ben turned around a new tune, which along with a few small mechanical repairs, made the 982hp yesterday.

I'm still waiting for a full listing of everyone who ran over the weekend. I know there were 42 trucks saturday, and about the same number sunday. I wasn't there Sunday morning but was told a big 6.4 was a good amount over 1,000.

737hp/1333tq. I've made some changes to the boost plumbing, wastegate, and fuel system since then though.

That was also at 45deg outside air temp / around 50 degrees underhoood, low humidity, etc.

Congrats, 900+ on fuel is no joke, especially at 90*+. I've ridden in a truck with a little over 800 I can only imagine what almost 200 more feels like.

His truck seemed to like the extra Timing too Ben.... all three runs were done with 40% load and I was shocked that the Gt55 even made 39 psi. I can imagine total boost was somewhere close to 90psi and I was the idiot standing near the intercooler haha.

I just looked up the default "High Warn" setting on the boost gauge I have on the first state; it's 50psi. I've hit this a few times on the road, including once recently when I blew a boost hose.
