Sorry to hear about your issues, that sucks. I really liked hearing about your truck at the strip from the guys.

Quick question. You said the first indicator was low track times, and then you said at 100' it let go. Did the snout/balancer come flying off the motor, or something else. Just wondering how much collateral damage that could cause if any.

Hope you get it straightened out and back to the track soon.

update

Heres a little update,
billy got the motor torn down and found out the crank is broken on the second lobe.
The good news is nothing else got hurt, all the main bearings and rod bearings look perfect, the cylinders and piston are perfect as well.
ill update more when i get more info

Thanks for the update. Any indication of why it broke? You planning on putting a stock crank back in?

sorry to hear about the crank jay,

scott at mass diesel had a dmax in there the other day with a broken crank in the same location as yours, seems to be the place they let go, it was a stock bottom end with only moderate power

If that the truck i'm thinking about its a LBZ. The guy is from PA and was running dual cp3s and Hot+2 et on 7. truck was told to be getting done fast and its been almost 3 months now and they have not even got the block work done. I offered to help they guy save and build his but after looking at all my pics said it was over his head.
