Sorry to say i broke my crank at the drag strip a couple of weeks ago.
when i was running sat something wasnt rite, my times were getting slower cause the weekend before i was running a consistent 10.4 to a 10.6, then on sun my first run i ran a 11.2 @ 127, 2nd run about 100' of the line it let go.
the motor is in the process of coming out. I have all the parts to fix it even spare blocks so i should be up and running before end of season.
Other than that the trans is still working good, but while i have it out im going to send to big dipper to go through it and check it out, its been in their for almost a year, thats awesome considering i weighed the trk and its @ 7100 lbs running low 10's
ill keep updates coming
Thanks to everyone who's helping with trk

That sucks to hear. Good luck getting it up and running again. That's a sweet running truck you have.

Does anyone really know who much hp a stock crank can safely take?

I know a few fairly stock to low power trucks have broken them before........I think harmonics have alot to do with them breaking myself .

As far as injectors go if we want to continue the discusion we can start a new thread in hard parts and hash it out , if that is done it will not be bashing any vendors , simply discussing actual opinions that have tech content to back up said opinion .

i think guy said he had 3 different engines built by 3 different shops that broke cranks, and they had a common thread of injectors being out by 30% at full pressure from highest flow to lowest flow or something like that (please don't hold it against me if my figure is off as i'm going off memory, maybe guy will see this and chime in). I have seen several different people say they think cranks are breaking due to harmonics. Don't you think it's possible that injectors that are extremely out of balance will throw off the harmonics?

trent started a new thread for us in hard parts
