Broken CD Player

I have a base model CD player in my 04 with steering wheel controls. the CD portion plays, but had a cd stuck in it, and couldnt ejcet it. my dealer got it out, but now it wont accept a cd into it. anyone know how to fix this or if there is an after market CD player that can accept the steering wheel controls? im keeping an eye on ebay for a factory replacement but want to check all my options.

I'm on my second cd player myself. I fixed this one by just accepting that the cd stuck in it is the one I want to listen to hahhaha. I have a couple toothpicks that I can snag the cd with and use to push in a new one. If you check out crutchfield they have the stuff to use the steering wheel controls for aftermarket decks. Ill be in the market for a new deck myself

In my biased opinion I would ditch the factory head unit and go with an aftermarket one. You can buy a piece that allows you to keep your steering wheel controls. The link below will give you an idea of what you need to buy. Good luck! :thumb:

Find another radio out of a junkyard and have it reprogrammed to your truck. They are getting more common, so the prices are dropping.

Will a 07 radio work in my 04?? i know they look different, would hate to buy it and have it not work

Old Body Style radio would work, New Body Style radio will not.
