LBZ: Broke my crank

So I'm pulling my 5th wheeler, 55mph all gauges normal. Drive press is 1 to 1, oil temp is 210*, oil press is good. EGT's are 1000*, boost is around 10~15psi. OAT is about 60*.

Then I hear a very bad sound, the sound of a rod knock, of in the distance, then getting louder. So I turn the cruise of when I heard it, looking for a place to pull over. Roll into the throttle and BAM, the truck shakes but still running to get pulled over. Get towed back home.

ARP Headstuds.

RDL's EGR Delete pipe.

• S475 over a
• GT4094AVNT.
• Both with Blankets
• 3" IC Tube.
  • MBRP XP Series 5 in. Exhaust.
  • RDL CastFlow Manifolds & PPE Up pipes.
  • Blankets on up-pipes.
  • Stage 5 by Mike L.

Truck still ran. I started it and un hooked the 5th wheel.

HP was 600 at the the wheels. The truck has 175,000 miles, alot of those were towing heavy.

I don't know if I am going to part it out or repair and sell it as a running motor.

I bought cuminstrkmydmax's SoCal stage 2 motor.

The best part was it was on my tow tune, 350 whp.

All of the bearings (Rod and mains) were in great shape, except #4 main, the bottom was wore down just to the copper, the top was wore a little less, but stll toast. I looked for any blueing around were the crank broke and the #4 main bearings and saw none.

Can you have close up pics of the broken part of the crank? Did it have "waves" in the metal where it broke?
