Utahski apparently knows more about it than me, even though I have had my hands on it but I don't remember all the details so at this point his info may be more accurate.

But I disagree with him as I believe it is Dmax inspired knowing the trucks both Curtis and Brian have built and just the fact it doesn't have cummins or ford parts in it.

Like I said, I will be down in Curtis' shop hopefully friday to grab my heads and I will squeeze him for info.:D

Either way it is an extremely cool build and I hope it blows the doors off the competition.

Exactly, it can be dmax inspired that doesn't mean were calling it a dmax engine.

We've talked about it a lot. An aluminum top fuel hemi based engine, diesel-ized. Two (2) Dmax parts, that's it. Curtis will tell you what's what. Said he'd been thinking about this engine for 15yrs.

Awesome build, but nothing d-max there at all. from oil pan to valve cover its all different. Just a diesel hemi.

Elsewhere it was said that the fuel rails are from a Powerstroke. That makes it almost as much Powerstroke as it is Dmax. LOL

Obviously, it's likely the most radical diesel motor sports engine in existence today! It's beyond badass!

2 CP3's feed an LB7 rail in front. Fuel lines go from there through LB7 valve cover seals to a 6.4 fuel rail on each side and LBZ injectors. The whole thing is just remarkable.

Sounds amazing, I'm glad someone had a wild idea and ran with it against I'm sure the numerous negative comments he got prior to build.

Easy now... Utahski will get upset soon if you keep calling this work of art a shit hole duramax... Though it does use duramax parts, but damn it don't you ever compare and insult this thing with the duramax name.

Ask Curtis if that thing was Dmax inspired he'll say "sh#t no it wasn't" He'd be real adamant about that.

It sounds to me more like he took the best parts out of a few different engines to make a beast than was inspired by any one engine.

He took a big all aluminum hemi-based billet block top fuel engine and made it a diesel with pistons and billet heads. And put a big overdriven blower on top.
