have put hell fire rings in with new forged pistons and having a time seating rings have put 1500 miles on it and still lots of blow by. Do they require heat or boost to seat. With my procharger I cant get a lot of EGT but lots of boost. I could disconnect the charger and get more heat but not sure which is best. Any ideas????

Don't know how to sign

Well its been a project and the machinist recommended them so I put them in. He did use the recommended stone when doing the honing He didn't say how to break them in. I believe he doesn't know as he wants me to go easy on the engine at first. I read that they need to be set under load

I have run Hellfire rings in a bunch of Duramax motors with no problems. What is the problem with rings not seating? If they have not seated in 1500 miles there is a problem.
