Well seems I have a checklist most agree on...

1) Run regular non synthetic oil for a while.
2) Quick and frequent oil changes can't hurt
3) City driving with much RPM fluctuation up and down is best, no cruise control highway driving.
4) Trailer towing will also help put needed load on the engine.

I'd run Dino oil for ever

Put about 200 miles on, changed the oil then took it on a 2,200 mile road trip to FL and back. Rings were seated by the time I got there. Then it went directly to the dragstrip. Ran a 650+ rwhp tune from day 1. Got 22k on it.

couple heat cycles then multiple WOT throttle loaded passes on the Engine Dyno for ours then 30 or so hooks to the sled lol
