Fwiw I've installed "expensive" rotors from napa that were warped right out of the box. Have a set on my Ford right now that are FN junk.

I mean, I could see it if you were hosing down a hot rotor with cold fluid, but cleaning the coating off a brand new rotor out of the box???
Ive used cheap rotors on a junker to NAPA's best (what you listed) on my truck, and Ive never had an issue....ever.
Something about that just doesnt seem right.

Got 150k+ on rear rotors and ~80k on the front rotors and I do t have a turbo brake for better part of the last 100k

I clean everything but the rotor with brake clean. Been like that for several years now. Stopped having warped rotors after I stop spraying then with brake clean..

Got 220k front and 150k rear on OEM rotors. Rear both had radius cracks through inner surface.
Got 308k on the truck now with no major issues.
Rear got a set of pads about 25k ago

It's working the I do it now... So I do it that way now.. Haven't had any issues. So IDK but it's working
