My brakes work great until the last fee seconds before a complete stop and then it feels like a sponge for a quick second. Kinda scary like they are gonna give out then grab again. Like an air bubble sorta. I have bled and bled to get the same results. Anyone ever have this problem or know what it could be. It seemed to start after I put a new caliper on one side. Forget what side but bled and bled. Idk it's been over a year and I don't drive it everyday.

My truck was doing the same thing. Found out it was the low speed abs sensor that was bad. Replaced the quick disconnect pigtail that attaches to the wheel bearing hub assembly and fixed it. The other thing you might be able to do is unscrew the end that threads into the hub assembly and clean it. This method didn't work for me but it's worth a shot

Sometimes the reason the abs sensor is bad is the wheel bearing is also bad.
Just an fyi.
Sensor is on the wheel bearing housing.

Haven't had this problem but curious to see what you find. Mine are firm all the time.

Mine get 'soft' too. Seems to be the way they are. I have had the ABS module electronically bled off and that seems to work for awhile. Annoying more than anything. Maybe I will have to check into the abs sensors.

I did a flush of the hydro-boost system recently and it did a world of good for the soft pedal in my truck. I found a nice write up on another forum with instructions by accident when I was googling soft duramax brake pedal. Took me about 30 minutes or so total.

Brakes nice and firm until the last 5-10' of a dead stop then it seems to feel like and air bubble in the line.

Mine feel like this sort of. I was told it was because my brakes are nearing their end. I would like a more firm feeling tho!
