Brake lines temporary fix?

So as i was driving aroubd today i lost pressure in the brake pedel. When i pulled ocer and parked i realized i blew a hole in my brake line underneath the back seat drivers side. I dont have the money tk do brake lines right now. But is there any way to do a temporary fix for like a week until i get paid?

Crimp the line before the hole to get it home. Don't run out of fluid. And don't drive it around without brakes. Steel lines are cheap.

Was it a steel line that popped or a rubber line?
