Well the timing couldn't have been better i blew a brake line when i pulled my truck into the shop to build my tranny.anyways i was looking at inline tube and found kit sctb0215. Is this the right kit for my 2002 2500 ex cab short box? Is the inline tube a good kit to order or is there a place that sells a better fitting kit? Thanks

I've installed several kits so far from them. did my truck last year. When you tighten the fittings snug them, back off and repeat to tight. You need to seat them right or thell leak!!! I'm doing 2 kits today as we speak. I'm not sure of your part number tho. They only make stainless now.

I also have to do mine in the near future. For 75 bucks you can buy 25' of brake line, bending arm, bend pliers and a cutter. Debating between this or just buy a pre bent kit.

That was my view i have made brake lines for my race cars and bikes before and it was never fun.if you can buy a kit go for it. I emailed them and it took them some time but they did get back to me and it is the right kit

Where did you buy the kit from? I found the sctb0215. On amazing for 285, free shipping since I practically never order less than 10 things at a time........

I ordered directly from inline tube, kits range from high 3s to high 4s. That's the SS lines

GM also makes a coated prebent line kit. I've installed a few and they fit pretty well. I've also installed inline tubing kits and I believe the GM kit is easier to work with. I paid $55 for mine with employee pricing but I believe they retail for under $200. Just another option to think about.

Keeping an eye on this one as I need to do the wife's. I was dead set on the inline set for the SS but if the coated GM stuff is good, cheaper and even easier to work with, I may just go with that.

Anyone have a part number for the GM kit for a 2002 extended cab shortbed 4wd? :D

I bleed the master cylinder first, than bleed each caliper as you would normally. The part number off my kit is 22932574.

I've just been gravity bleeding them first and just a normal bleed from the calipers. Sometimes my guys will also suck it out first with the brake bleeder to get a head start

Also I still think SS is worth the pain in ass if you live in a salty area and are keeping the truck
