Blew a brake line the other day, no big deal. By the time I was done, ended up replacing 3 old rusty lines. Line from rear port on master cylinder to ABS module, and both front wheel lines to ABS module. When I went to bleed the front brakes, right side bled perfect, left side has no fluid at ALL! Cracked the other end of the line at the ABS module, and no fluid there either! Any ideas? Also tried the automated bleed with my tech 2, and said it was successful, but no difference. I'm stumped. Had good brakes 2 days ago...

Texas!!!
Maybe there is something in the ABS module plugging it up. Can you take some shop air and blow back through it?

Sorry about that. It's an 03 ECSB 2500hd. So I worked on it some more today, pulled off the LF brake line and the MC line from the ABS module, blew a little air backwards through the module (lightly) to make sure it wasn't clogged, blew right through. Tried bleeding that wheel again, and no fluid still. Only way I can get fluid to flow is leaving the bleeder open while I do the auto bleed with the Tech 2. Then the pedal drops to the floor (like the RF when I bleed it) I think I have all the air out, and it does have some braking on the LF now, but pulls hard to the right on a test drive. Is there some way to reset or reboot the ABS module? I'm lost.

Just to post result. Ended up being a bad ABS module. Would not let fluid through to LF brake. Replaced module and all is good :thumb:
