Hate to get political, but this is crazy.

A kid shared 30 songs that were licensed by Sony Entertainment.

A $675,000 judgement was upheld:

Judge: Rya W. Zobel

So, if Sony accuses you of stealing from them, you could lose everything you own.

Nothing Sony sells is worth my family's future. **** them.

And I own a LOT of Sony stuff.

If you are stud, write a letter:

Attention: Sony Music Feedback
Sony Music Entertainment
550 Madison Avenue, 23rd Floor,
New York, NY 10022-3211

If not, fill out this:

If you are a hero, do both and pass it on.

My Text:

"I own thousands of dollars of Sony Products and Entertainment items. Why? I consider Sony to be a Premium Brand.

After reading that you are going to wreck a kid's life for sharing music by enforcing a $675,000 judgement, I'm thinking Sony is dangerous to my family. Will buying your products put our family at risk? I do not know. I do know that if the risk is 0.001% of losing everything I worked for because I bought Sony items, Sony has nothing for sale that is worth the risk.

Let's put this into context. What does Sony sell to my family that is worth a $675,000 risk? Nothing. Sony does not sell life-critical items.

Unless some kind of realistic settlement is forthcoming and shown by the media, I cannot buy Sony products due to the risk involved.

Nothing Sony sells is worth risking our family's future.

This makes us very sad. Sony sells great products, software, and entertainment. But the risk is too great, even though we honest Americans.

On a personal note, shame on you. This is despicable. Far, far worse than you losing our personal info or deleting Linux from the game machines. That was small potatoes."

I've always avoided Sony Music and Sony Video. I can remember back a few years when Sony had spyware on their CDs that would automatically install itself on your computer when you put the CD in... just to make sure you were legally obtaining all your music. At that point I decided I would not buy a Sony product and I still haven't.

I've kind of forgotten about Sony, used to feel they were great but lately have gone other directions. I don't get into the gaming and home theater stuff really, not much time to use it, but prefer a lot of Samsung stuff lately it seems.

I have owned probably 4 or 5 of Sony's $40 DVD players. They don't last too long but I am always the guy that refuses the warranty. Well I switched to buying $50 Samsung ones because Sony got rid of the display on theirs so you have no idea where the DVD is at time wise and you cannot tell if the DVD player is on. First samsung crapped out faster than the sony, then my other Sony crapped out so I finally gave in and asked the guy how much the 2 year warranty was, $6. Six freaking dollars. Wish i would've asked that before. I seem to exchange them out every 6 months due to them crapping out. Although I am sure the warranty is not transferrable, its still not a bad deal I guess.

I don't know why they suck so bad, it could be that we use them nonstop. Neither me or my Fiance are home enough to watch much TV so we do not have anything other than free local digital channels. We just buy seasons of shows we like on Amazon and watch the DVDs that way. If we ever have the need for more internet than just tethering off my phone we will probably do some sort of internet TV deal.

The lawyers in this country must be getting bored. You see rapists and murderers getting a slap on the wrist and then stories like this kid who will be suffering much worse for a petty crime. Seems to me like they are trying to set an example with him, kind of like the EPA with Edge.
