It was only underwater long enough to get a piece of equipment to get it out so 2 days. After it was brought out glow plugs were pulled to get water out of the cylinders and all the fluids were drained.


Im willing to bet it will be ok...Atleast I hope so for your sake

What I am saying is that anything shipped by sea is quite cheap vs land or air. And truck space is a premium to get something up here so it is expensive. And yes it could be shipped by sled dog to get here if someone really wanted to.

hopfully they bathed everything in ATF and WD-40 or some other water displacer. The real concern of where the water is gonna be tough to get out without complete imediate teardown is places like piston rings, lifters, valvetrain, etc. If it was done quickly and properly, good buy, IMO, since your gonna tear it and build it, hopfully and rusting is minor and surface rust. A good clean and polish can tell. Its all about the time!
