Bought a triple turbo duramax!

Yep I'm jealous now!!!! That's what I wanna run at some point. I'd buy the triples and 100 overs when he's ready. 
I guess if you don't need them and would rather have the cash to pay off the loan, i think its a smart choice.. Now if this was me, i would keep it the way it is! :thumb:
He paid cash and has plenty of money in the bank..... He wants dead reliability and fuel mileage. I'm gonna sell him 15% injectors, a cheetah and CNG.
I would keep the triples as well! He would be just as happy with a stock truck but he couldn't find a stock truck for what he paid for this one......
that was either a "slap your momma" deal or your buddy is the epitome of ignorant. Going through the work of taking those off the truck and finding a buyer for them, to have a close to stock truck with a built motor is just stupid imo. If he has plenty of money in the bank,then he should have shelled out the dough for what he really wanted. I just cant wrap my head around this.
Plus, if he doesnt change his own oil, i hope your gonna be there helping take those tripples off, or nobody will want them after they are banged and beat all to hell:roflmao:

We unloaded it at a buddies shop when we got back. Gonna put injectors in it and make sure everything is gtg. First $6,500 gets the triples, they have 1500 miles on them and were $7,400 new...
P.S. he's not doing anything of the work, just gonna pick it up and drive it when we are done. The only reason he bought it was because it was a 07 ccsb 6 passenger with under 100k, that's all he wanted.

ouch, its tough to tell from the video but it sure sounds like piston skirts contacting the crank counterweights.
sure hope its something else, and white smoke / haze at idle or other signs of bent rods?

I would put bets on bent rods, correct me if im wrong, but isn't it just hazing in the whole shop?
