On Thursday I picked up a new 2009 Yamaha Raptor 700r.

It is by far the best quad I have ever rode. Handels like a dirtbike in the trails and catwalks on command.

Only downside is I picked it up and got to ride for 2.5 hours and now I am busy with work till the end on next week.:(

Did they change anything on those since they came out with the 700cc engine? Or are they the same?

Awasome those bikes have lots of torque, I ate shit in my buddys out at Pismo last month. But I had a couple beers and was late at night. lol Learned my lesson.
Raptor is what I wanted at first but went with an 08 LTR 450, got it around March, and luv it. 09 have the same 700, did you get it with the resivor shocks?

Yes it has the resivoir shocks I am pretty sure all of them come with them now.

I am getting a Cam and piston as well as exhaust and intake and EFI controller for more fuel. Should be able to get it close to 65hp out of it.

What kind of riding are you going to do? The dual exhaust looks sick on the Raptors, get a pciii and fuel intake.
2k5 luv the LTR, well I better for the price I paid. lol Let them damm sales people get me this time. Working on a dasa, fuel intake, and pciii, what do you have your bike setup for?

The riding I am doing is mostly trails and out to our local desert. I have been looking at the dual exhaust and really like it. It is nice that it is true dual exhaust. But yes that is on my list for the first thing is the PC3 and intake and exhaust.

Congrats on the new toy. I just picked up a Kawasaki KFX450R about a month ago. Haven't had much time to ride mine either, but I got 7 days off now. :D

Very nice I have a YFZ450 that is fully built and I love the thing. If you want to learn a lot about that bike go to RAPTORFORUM.COM.
