I am going to be building my trans in the next 3 weeks with Mike L. He suggested I see if anyone has a home made adaptor for the allison to their engine stand I could borrow or buy.

Please let me know via pm.

Some years ago I rebuilt an Allison AT 540, I used an regular engine stand and swung the arms around so I could bolt it to the PTO opening in the case. And that one I'm thinking is much heavier than the T-1000.

I'd get an opinion from one of the guys that are current, but that worked for me.

I used a pto cover gasket as a template and cut out a piece of 3/8" plate steel, and welded a piece of 2" sch 80 pipe to it works great I will try to get some pics up tomorrow

I have one you can borrow not the best but it works, bad thing is by the time you pay for shipping and wait around for it you could probably just build one real quick. Let me know if you want to borrow it. You also stated your building it with Mike L if your driving to his place I live just off I-80, but I bet you take I-15 through Utah I'm in Nevada, but either way I think it would be about the same distance.

I think I might just make my own, it doesn't sound hard plus we have a welder in the shop etc I just thought it would be easy to find one.

Heres a pic of the one I built. Took one of the PTO covers and marked out a piece of 3/16" plate and drilled the holes. Then welded the plate onto a piece of sch 80 pipe I had and here she is.

Exactly what I will build, any fluid loss when removing the PTO cover?

Nice work on those shop stands. Guys that make their gear are the new blacksmiths in a way. My welder is the most used power tool I have with generator it is excellent if power craps out too.
