Bootloader prob truck won't start

Just got efi and downloaded my stock tune in computer. i wanted to try just to get my feet went and change tables for lopey idle . truck still starts and runs but i can not get flash or download ecm info without getting bootloader error and ecm status unknown . Any help thanks guys

First make sure you have the latest version of EFILive software and have updated the firmware to the most recent edition.

Make sure your cig lighter fuse is AOK, and the cable is plugged in, ignition in RUN position, (not running, in run position), and do FULL FLASH with your stock tune.

Also to add to Pat's post, check all plugs and remove re-seat all cable ends at box, computer and truck. Try reading to confirm connection. Good luck.

Well i got it , im a retard . A couple weeks ago me edge monitor took a crap needless to say the module was still plugged after i took the monitor out wow i feel stupid . But i was able to read stock and reflash ecm a couple time to get the feet wet . Thanks guys !

Glad you got it sorted. Many after market devices are not programmed to listen to the silence command we (and Tech II) sends to the data bus. As a result you should switch off or disconnect any after market devices you have on your truck. Also you should make sure your doors are closed. In situations like these we also advise to switch everything off, disconnect, reconnect and switch back on and try again.
