Well I'm almost done with the gauge install, I just have to run power to the pyro. Thanks for the help and the pics guy's they were really helpfull. When I left my buddy's house lastnight after working on the truck I nailed the throttle a little bit and holy sh*t the boost went right up to 30psi is this ok or bad ? I turned my programmer up to stage 4 so I could see the peak boost and the egt's when its finished. I got home last night and turned it down to stage 2 . I havent drove it yet today but I thought that 28psi was the most a stock engine would handle correct me if I'm wrong. I just dont want to have to go without the truck for another 2.5 months for head gaskets again or worse, and they may not warranty it this time goddamn economy anyway. I guess the big question is what are my limits as far as the tunes I have , I'm sure your all familiar with the standard xcelerators, I know the tranny dangers but no one has told my the limits on the engine. P.S. I also have a ppe boost increaser controller, should I hook it up too? so I can turn the boost down on the 2 higher tunes or does it only increase? ( thanks )

x2 i have seen as high as 60 psi on a stock motor , but i would consider under 40 psi safe after that some last forever and some give up, I cant really answer why .

Best power with a stock charger is going to happen at 30-32 PSI. The factory LLY/LBZ/LMM will normally have no problems running that boost, nor 40 PSI, but you will make less power at 40PSI. LB7's need to be cautious when going over 30 psi, as the charger will blow up at about 40. Even 34psi can be trouble.

So I'm good to run my tuner on stage 4 225hp? Is it safe to include the boost increaser or should I wait for head studs.? I guess I just would like to know what i'm limited to with the stock engine before I start tearing it up. I know stage 4 is not good on the tranz ,but will the engine hold up as an everyday driver?

I would try to keep boost under 35psi. The 225 tune wont hurt the motor nor the trans from my experience.

Thanks guy's , I finished my gauge install and took her for a spin. On stage 2 ( 90hp ) it runs good and wide open the pyro went up to about 1100, I'm going to turn it up to stage 4 (225hp) in the morning. My question is How hot do I let it get before I let off? How hot do you guy's let them get ? whats a safe limit?:happy2:

Try to keep it under 1300, some have seen as high as 1800 sled pulling but if you sustain 1300 for a long period of time you risk melting parts.

I've been sitting on my boost increase module for a while now. I'm wondering if I should hook it up or not . Are they a good mod ? does any one have any experience with them? I dont plan on going over 35psi for boost but, it says it cleans up black smoke and also lowers egt's, especially while pulling. Is this bs or what? Blk & wht ? is should I run it or sell it? ( thanks for all the help you guys):D

Got any suggestions where to put it? They say to mount the module in front of the battery to keep cool, but where in the cab do I mount the controls? I saw a picture of the controls mounted above the cig lighter where you would enable and disable the passenger air bag, you know to the right of the stereo, but mine is just a pocket right there. If anyone has any Ideas or pics Please let me know. Thanks in advance.:D
