lastnite i had my drivers side boost tube blow off at the turbo. I recently had removed that particular tube to redo my pcv re-route last week. I have a SD manifold instead of the stock silicone coupler. I believe when i originally installed the sd manifold i was told to use hair spray or something for adhesion. Well i neglected to use anything when reassembling after the re-route. What does anyone else use to help keep these things on, or is it more of where you place the clamp? I blew it off 2 times in about 20 mins lastnite, and prior to that never. any tips greatly appreciated

try putting the SD Manifold on the passenger side as that is the most accurate reading (after the turbo)

What is an sd manifold? Thats for exhaust, right? Thought it was your turbo connector having issues on the boost tube? I like silicone cuz its naturally sticky on metal. Pics please.:):)

ohhhh, thanks for the clarification, lol.;) I would start by making sure all clamps are catching the tubes. If its clamped at edge of the tube it will contribute to popping it off. Def clean it up really good and soapy water works awesome too, but you have to wait till the water drys out.:)

I just cleaned the boot and the boost tube to make sure there was no oil on them and then made sure I could feel the clamp behind the lip on the tube, and tightened them up a lot.

If it blows off again, Take a pair of pliars or whatever will work & flare out the end of the boost Tube again. Most likely somewhere along the line someone tightened the clamp close to the end & pushed it in. I had same problem for a week before i got it figured out!

I went with a thicker boot and better clamps and some super cheap hair spray been good ever since.
