So as far as the poll looks, 06 LBZ's take the cake... I knew I shoulda kept my LB7. Brother in law doesn't even know what he has:confused:

Most of those who blew up LB7 pistons starting back in 2003 are no longer hotrodding their Dmaxes, but they certainly happened. The LBZ is certainly the most common though.

No, they actually improved the piston, and it's more expensive, it is bushed now and teflon coated.

But that might be the problem. Pressing in the bushing (before it was bare alum on the wrist pin bore) might be weakening a percentage of the pistons.
