Blown head gaskets, what else to check replace?

That is interesting. Never seen water/coolant erosion like that. Looks like someone went apeshit with an ice pick

Funny thing is that I can't find any breaches on that gasket the blown fire ring was in cylinder 7.

Either way the piston needs to be replaced but I'm wanting to find out the cause that way I can correct it. I'm going to get ahold of mark at Danville performance and ask him as well

Pits are not very deep am going to talk to mark broviak and see what he thinks as far as that head is concerned, starting to think that maybe a glowplug broke off at one point, the ones I removed are intact, but going to replace them since they r out.

Ok this is a bummer the number 2 was also cracked, decided to re ring the entire engine to balance the compression and it was cheaper to buy the rebuild kit rather than get only the parts needed. So I'm just waiting on the parts to finish the rebuild
