blowing smoke

truck is blowing a lot of black smoke at half to full throttle, its stock no tunes, started this a couple weeks ago, it seems to be running fine, any ideas?

Dirty maf sensor?? Can you check balace rates on injectors

balance rates were good, i havent checked the maf sensor though, hows the best way to clean them?

Maf cleaner, remove and spray. It comes in an aerosol can and can be purchased at any parts store

Mine is doing the same thing and I hope its just a dirty maf sensor. I also just got my truck recently and the air box was loose and not on the hose. I had it on there but never tightened it and figured it just came loose after driving for about 500 miles or so. Thats when I started to notice the problem. I will let you guys know what happens. I hope its nothing serious because I love my truck.

Make sure the turbo is alright also if your air intake was loose.

I will check all of these things. How would I know if fuel filter is dirty? What mileage are they recommended for changes?

Bad cp3 will cause the same thing. You would think that it has a big tune except there isn't a power. Check rail pressures when driving. It can happen without any codes showing up.

Ok CEL went away and truck is running fine now. I think its just because the tube came off the box.
