This is great info. Though i know the center 4 bores have much thinner wall material, it would be nice to see exactly how much!:cool2:

Any data on this?

I'm a whore for bore, mainly because I'm an even bigger whore for RPM, but in a forced induction application, doesn't the presence of boost take a lot of the valve shroud and cylinder head flow concerns out of the equations? I've also noticed that some of the OEMs (Audi in particular) will underbore their performance turbo motors. The last turbo S4 comes to mind. It was a 2.7L twin turbo. Basically a stock 2.8L block that had been left under-bored. Just food for though.

iirc all the walls were the same thickness.

increase bore will unshroud the vlv and in crease flow to and extent then you need bigger vlvs

Dmax block is not siameze bore...

I never cut the block up to see, but Are the bores plated? or do we just have a machined cast iron bore?

looking to increase bore size will help alot with valve shrouding, you should see gains of at least 5-10 cfm and up on intake and exhaust. on top of a ported head. and even more with 35mm or bigger valves.

Come on Guy, get in touch with AFR and get us some CNC 4V two injector/hole heads popped out:eek:.

Don't need AFR, I have all the capability I need, in house.
