Well it looks like i blew a head gasket here two days ago. Gotta take it into a shop since i don't know anything about digging that deep in there. Anything else i should have done while they are that deep into it?? Its getting all new gaskets and ARP studs so far. Thanks.

Might replace the FPR if you are getting up there in mileage.

Performance wise, depends on what your goals are.

New injectors, valve springs...etc would be good time to do it.

I just broke over 150k when this happened. Plans for now are to keep a stock bottom end until the money tree grows, but i would like to get up to 900 to 1000 hp.

My 06 blew its gaskets aswell.. I think it had to to do with lots of cylinder pressure heat and high egt s on my old race tune? I may be wrong.

I am only running my PPE chip on #4, wasn't doing anything really just driving back and forth to work. Wasn't rodding it or anything. I really wondered why mine went. A friend of mine said it was normal for a diesel with over 100k, but he drives dodges and fords...

Just coolant loss and a hard upper radiator hose. Never overheated, hasn't been run real hard except when passing. Boost has never been above 32 lbs. Just been daily driven, no towing in the last couple months. If you got any other ideas to check before i spend a bunch of money, i am all ears.

Just did a set on an 06 as well. gaskets were the old design and the fire rings blew out on both back cylinders. Sucks for people because of the expense.

Head gaskets are becoming far to common as a failure for these trucks :spit. Hope my Lly doesn't blow em anytime soon!
