Ive been running a set of mastercraft courser a/t 2's for around 30k mi (285/75/r16). They are load range D (8 ply), and have done decently well. For around 550$, and if you do not tow much how can you beat em?

What psi are they rated to hold that 2600 pounds? If its anything less than 50 it's probably going to wear the outside edges on the front tires pretty quick. Load C tires would be ok in the back if you never haul anything but they'd be maxed out on the front. I don't know exact numbers but our trucks have a lot of weight over those front tires.

I guess the best thing to do would be to take my truck to a truck stop, weigh each axel to determine weight distribution, and go from there
Im running load range D terra grapplers now and i have a little over 37k on them with at LEAST 10k left on them which is what provoked the thought that C's might be alright

After reading the reviews on the kumhos iim definitely NOT going with those. Most likely going with the nitto nt 420s
Besides whats wrong with kumho tires? I always ran the kumho ecstas on my trans am and they held the road great

wow never experienced anything like that and i had 2 sets. i first had pirelli scorpion z 305/30r23 on my av they wore out before 35k and rode like shit then i had 2 sets the kumho ecsta 305/35r23 and then a set of 305/35r24. I hated the pirellis because they wore out so fast i got at least 45k out of my tires everytime and sold them with still useable tread. the truck had over 160,000 miles on it when i sold it.
the noise was nothing i never noticed and i thought they handled awesome i remember i put my stock tires on one week in between rims and damn near lost control of my truck
