Hey guys I thought about making biodiesl since i just saw 4.29 a gallon today. I was just looking online at some kits to start but they are like 3 grand and im still in college so that probably isnt going to happen. In there any way to make this cheaper by using 55 gallon drums and basic things you can get at a hardware store? Thanks!

I would suggest not making your own fuel. Your injectors arent cheap ;)

I wish I had a 1st gen cummins so I could throw my oil from my GMC in the fuel tnak and not worry about a thing.

I run homebrew B100 in all my diesels. I built the "refinery" from parts at home hardware for about $600 in 2005. I have made over 10,000 gallons in the last 7 years with no injector or pump issues. The OEM filters don't like it, but there are ways around that.

Thanks man 600 bucks is about the price range i was looking for, i can prob get some parts for free to but i know you need a pump, tanks and something to heat the oil with but what else do you really need?
