I am curious what the strength comparison is between the 2 and when one should be used over the other.

I am trying to determine if i should spend the extra and go billet or if the sleeved hub will be just fine.

I plan on running lower 11's.

Seems like i have seen the planet twist the splines off before the hub gets damaged so another question i should have asked is if i dont really plan on going with a billet planet, would I even need to worry about a sleeved/billet hub?

If your not going to upgrade the planet I would get the bullet hub as it is supposed to have an 1/8" more spline to grab more of the planetary. Also if the planetary is twisted ever slightly that hub has already started to expand.

In my opinion do the billet hub and do the planet or don't do either. Sleeved hubs still twist fairly easily. If you twist your hub you most likely did damage to your p2 or vice versa so there isn't much sense in doing one without the other.

I've had great luck using the billet hub without the planet although I prefer to use them together. I have not had a lot of luck with the sleeved hub.
From my experience, the weight of the truck has a lot to do with it as does engine tuning.

Here is how the sleeved hub held up with stock planet in mine. I would say it did it job. I now run billet hub and planet now. Truck is little over 7000 and making over 1000hp.

Well i went full retard, jumped the gun and ordered a sleeved hub and machined p1..I'm changing my order to a billet hub Mondaymmorning when they open.

I'm going to stick with the stock planet for now. If it fails later or looks hurt when I tear it down, I will deal with it then. I know, it is not ideal but not everyone has money to do it right the first time:D

You will be fine. Unless you turn the truck up to full retard :D

Looks like the hub seized in the sun gear. There should be no marks on the outside bushing on the C2 hub. Not normal.

Mike I would bet that you would find something wrong with a wet dream. Even if you awoke and realized it was occurring at the sane time.
