Yesterday, I had a twin turbo Ford try me. I guess I took off from the light a little quicker than he thought I should have. I was texting a response on the forums and noticed he floored it. Lets just say it didn't turn out well for him. Those turned up 6.4's don't have what it takes.

Says a guy with a turbo, built engine, and trans. I wouldn't go dragging to much those 6.4 are no slouch with a big tune and a stock trans. Some are over 700RWHP with drugs.
I'm not bragging at all. I'm here minding my own business and not really paying attention then you got someone thinking he all that. It was funny the way it came about. On the serious note though it would take those 700 horses and drugs to make a good showing.
I've seen them do over 500 on fuel on a big tune but they are still slow heavy pigs. With any year of Duramax with a stong race tune I wouldn't be intimidated by any of them. Even with them on the drugs I don't think Shane has anything to worry about.

them new trucks are pretty rowdy, theres acouple videos on youtube of them with a spartan tune running mid 12's
There was a RCLB in the mid 12s posted on DP was he using drugs? I know some trucks are dyno queens, but if they're hitting 600 on fuel and can't get into the 12s....

You got to remeber that the ccsb truck weigh in at like 8000 lbs. They are heavy pigs for sure.

We will know the "truth" after about a year. For now, I'm just as suspicious of 6.4 Ford claims as I was when the 6.0 Ford guys said they could run low 13's with nothing but tuning. Turned out, those who were, had more than met the eye. Typical "tuning only" 6.0's are 14 second trucks. Just like dyno sheets, time slips sell parts, so there is a lot of pressure inflate claims. Problem occurs when an innocent buys the parts and hype and doesn't get similiar results.
There are hundreds of "tuned" Dmaxes in the 12's. It's not even debatable that a tuned Dmax is potentially a 12 second runner. But if somebody posted they ran 11's with just tuning, I would be sceptical as well.
