There is a significant difference between the s500sx (88 and 91mm) and the s510 (95mm)

The sx line actually works pretty damn good.

There is a difference between them, kind of like asking if there is a diff between a 475 and a 480. You have to pick the power goal with your builder/tuner and go from there. People told me mine would never spool, I can tell you it does. Around 2k Rpm it becomes a rocket, traction becomes the issue.

I don't understand why people said yours wouldn't spool. Its one of the most popular big compound setups.

I've driven and raced 72mm/s595 with both 1.15 and 1.45 turbine housing. Then I paired the 72mm with the 98mm PBK with a f-trim in a 1.0 turbine housing. Several other trucks I know have the 98mm PBK charger as the primary. Much easier (smaller compressor housing) to mount and it looks a little cleaner. Both will make big power but the GT55 and PBK have a better turbine and compressor setup than the s595 (but the s595 can be bought much cheaper).

I just want to go fast.

Looking at the new Suncoast 1053 with 3k rpm stall that just came out.

Probably need to get a different cam then the one I have.

I could do a 72 and a PBK...

I love my 72/88 compounds. The 88 has the f-trim turbine with a 1.23 housing. Power is so smooth and consistant.

PBK was my choice if i hadnt found my 88. Get yourself a street cam like mine and enjoy the truck alot more. All the cam does is move the power band. Big cams move the power high up in the rpm. Lots of over lap will kill drivability. Plenty of stock cam trucks running 10's:D What i mean by that is you don't need a huge cam to make crazy power.

That's what I thought we had it in it...

Then I found out otherwise.

At your elevation, (i cant believe im saying this) a 72vgt/s483 would be a really good combo. I absolutely hated the 472/5533 that my cousin had. The 72 was a 96 turbine. So that prob didnt help, but it was a turd below 2500 rpm, even with the diverter valve.

With the fuel you have, a 475 with some spray should get you in the 10s.

For sure!

There is a 75 on the truck right now.
3k rpm stall converter is on the way.
Nitrous kit should be here tomorrow. Going to do a spool jet and wot jet.

Just waiting for updated tunes as well.

That 96 turbine is the killer there. My 72/87/1.0 spools easy as pie at our 4300' elevation with a 1053 converter. I'd bet if he got rid of the 96, he'd love those compounds.

Had a good pass on our dyno last night. Running Danville 4094 72mm stg2r with fmw S482. Made 953 at 3k rpm when the dyno decided to quit sampling. usually make peak power at 3400rpm on my setup.

With 33's and 3.42, this thing still lights faster than a stock vvt.

Trans back out. Nitrous hasn't showed up.

Wheel bearings were SHOT so replaced those.

95mm S500 and a S464 on my buddies Lb7.
This just went 10.85 at 125 in a full weight crew cab truck.

I trapped 126 last time i was at the track. Good to know i atleast have the mph for a 10.8

You will hit a 10. I picked up a few mph just by getting a better 60', believe it or not. I bet you will see 128mph your next track trip if you balls up and launch that thing.:thumb:
