LBZ: Betty's Motor finally gave up.

Well after three long years of abuse, Betty's motor finally decided to give up. Me thinks cylinder 7 gave up the ghost (thats the one with the highest bal. rate)




Got the motor out last night. Going to tear it down tonight and see what happened.

Yup. It was Cyl 7. all others were like 435-440. Cyl 7 310psi. pulling the heads tonight. I cant wait to hang that piston up as a trophy..

Not a cracked piston with that amount of compression in that hole still.

I suspect a melted one tho

A healthy stock engine will make right at 400 psi comp.
