Just picked one up from the dealer today, $55. Is that about right? Thought about going somewhere else also but didn't want to chance it.

Way to much...

Go to fleetfilter.com.

Winner...winner...chicken dinner.

Wax filter part #33910 (they show a new updated version 33960 but the shop by my doesn't show it in their system, the 33910 looks just like the dealer ones).

Price is $29 for the 33910.

Thanks for the tip.

For those of you that may still decide to buy your filter at the dealer, make sure you call around to the other area dealers first to compare filter prices. The one closest to me wanted around $55. The lowest dealer price I found was $45 (I guess less overhead). I called the closest dealer back and told him about the price difference and asked if he would sell the filter to me at the $45 price. He agreed so it not only saved me the price difference of the filter but the extra time and fuel to go to the other dealer that was further away. Just food for thought.

Yeah, I picked up a new one Friday...it was the latest design. Parts manager said it was the fifth redesign in Dmax fuel filters.

I don't know if it is relevant to the new design, but this one was the only filter I have had problems with the o-ring not wanting to stay seated...made install a pita.
