My mileage dropped when I went from my stock turbo to my S475. I'd say a ball bearing turbo as a single would get the best mileage.

Aren't the 4094R's known for high EGT's? I thought the exhaust side wasn't setup very well

Are they? I couldn't tell you. Maybe when making big power. How about for mileage? And then compound it and your egt's go down. Maybe Dan from PPE could tell us?

my 4094r ran hot as balls. significantly more top end than my 4088r nut also spooled much slower than the 88 as well.

you guys should look into comp turbos, they can come with ceramic bearing which from what im told spool quicker than the regular ball bearing ones....buddy is getting one to use in his triple kit on his dodge

They have real good prices too.
I've heard they use their own ceramic ball bearing center sections, turbine & compressor wheels but similar comp and exh housings as both Garrett and Brg Warner.
I am looking into a single for now.

Aren't the typical center sections made of cast iron? They use aluminum. Would that be ok? Correct me if I am wrong.

Both my chargers are by Comp with the aluminum ball bearing center sections. So far I have no complaints. Only thing I'd be worried about is stripping out the aluminum if your constantly changing/removing them.

What kind of power are you making. I was thinking of getting the Ball Bearing 72 to start with like you have listed there. Did you ever run the 72mm Comp Turbo as a single? Any Numbers? How does it compare to other chargers?
And what do you mean by captain lag? I thought with the setup it should spool decently? But what do I know?
Thanks!

your best bet for quickest spool would prob be a billet 72 with ceramic bearings and run that as a single
