Best lift for boosted launches?

I cut consistent 1.6-1.7 60's with my tuff country 6" t bar bolts gone 4 inch blocks and long bars On 33x12.5 toyo at2's. It was smooth from 0 to106mph with aftermarket front shaft. I realize 1000rwhp is gonna be a totally different animal, thus the reason I no longer have the lift. Good luck, might want to set aside a driveshaft hoop fund as well.

i beg to differ. you very much can, you just have to know the specs of what you are working with. there are plenty of stock height or lowered height trucks out there that can launch for shit either. i have one of the worse kits out there for drag racing on and i can spin the 37s off at 25psi and up in 4wd. i have band aids in place to make it launch, the cognito kit wont need them

well I guess I'm gonna have to come to Arizona this year for the races and see these 37's in action!

Cognito 4-6" with bolts out is your best bet. Stupid, but your best bet. 1000 rwhp and lift is :rolleyes:

Not gonna be racing really. Daily driver for the 10th time. Street tune will be 700hp.

I never could get my truck where it needed to be when it was lifted either. The weight transfer along with high center of gravity it would never sixty foot as good as it needed to. When I tried more power on the launch it would spin way too much. Limiting straps would help a good bit but it will never run like a lower truck will.

I'm not calling anyone a liar. I'm sure you can get a ok launch lifted, but take two trucks same size, same setup, one lifted one lowered and see which one runs better from start to finish. Not going to get your full potential out of lifted truck.

X2, not to mention most tracks limit crank heighth. But most lifted trucks have horrible side to side body roll during hard launches. I would love to here James setup though. Sounds like he figured it out.

Weight transfer is marginally different from a lowered truck, stock truck, or lifted truck. To change this, you need to have drastic differences in height between front and rear end. The fact you had to run limit straps tells me you had band aiding going on as well

Quinton, a well setup lifted truck will be just as competitive as a non lifted well setup truck.

Again, this comes down to many key parts in setup to make it run right. The biggest hindrance of the lift is added weight. Beyond that, it can work well.

Lower control arm mounting point, scrub radius, bump steer, knuckle or Uca drop, and so on are some major points that make or break a lift. Specially when you lower it for good cv angles.

Do you run coils? The torsion setup really doesnt have anything keeping the front from coming up, except socks.
