LB7: Best Intake

Gettin a After market intake for my 01 lb7 wanted to know the best one, previous truck had banks cold air intake with scoop, Seemed legit but was thinking AFE stage two progaurd 7 herd alot of good things about it, Feed me some wisdome

the banks and afe are both very nice, but u can do the mod on ur stock airbox, it will do the same thing... then u can spend your $$ elsewhere..

you pretty much gut you stock box cut the fins out of the side faceing the pass fender leave it opend up.

If I bought another duramax, there is so much stuff I wouldn't waste my money on. Aftermarket air box is one of those things. The lbz has the best.

The one thing I liked about my banks with the scoop was my high idle would stay on longer from IAT staying cooler longer. Other then that, never saw much from it

I would agree. Unless your looking for every last .1 . I picked up .20 and 2 mph with the Banks with the superscoop :driving:

yeah u can do the air box mod but i would allways spend the money on a aftermarket intake because it cheaper to clean the filter then buy filters
