In what vehicle?? Makes a world of difference.....

If you mean your truck, the aam 11.5 it came with is a tough piece. Not light, but with it being in a 3/4 ton truck, it has to be heavy enough to take the abuse.

The factory dodge "posi" for the aam axle is a very good choice. It's a different deign than the gm and seems to hold up a lot better. The grizzly locker is another popular choice

Eaton Differentials are a good choice. I personally have an Eaton True Trac and I can say it is definitely more aggressive than the stock locker but for drag racing the Eaton Detroit Locker is a great choice.

A friend of mine is getting 1.7 60' times with his 2wd. He is running M&H drag radials, CalTracs, and the stock locker.

I'm pretty sure the front tires are some cheap used 225/75R16s and the rears are M&H 275/55R16 drag radials. The wheels are stock PYO aluminum wheels. I'll talk to him tomorrow and let you know for sure.

He has to be careful how hard he launches or he spins like mad too. He also had better results by putting more air in the tires. I think he's running 22 or so PSI. Weird, I know. He doesn't get to the 1/4 very often, but the 1/8 mile track down the road from him usually preps the track well. His best so far has been a 7.6 with low 90 trap speeds.

I can't wait to start "messing" with the chassis. So far my best 60 has been 1.968 and I constantly trap 99 in the 1/8. I've got to get those 60's down.
