I tried one of those that sit in on the dash and plugged into the cig lighter, but the sun doesnt hit the truck all the time. MUCH easier for me to run a 50ft extension cord out to the truck.

Sounds like you need to bury a wire and have a hitching post with an outlet next to your trucks designated spot

That’s a great idea for a future house build.

Although I’m hoping if I get to that point I’ll have somewhere inside to park 🤪

After I got the shop built my wife asked me if I was going to keep the truck in there. I said F that it's too old to care now LOL and it would just bring mice into the shop

The go to for high end auto's is https://smartercharger.com/collections/car-battery-chargers/?i=1 I think. I know we have a them on some of our euro equipment (240V models).

You might be interested in the https://smartercharger.com/collections/car-battery-chargers/products/ctek-mus-4-3-polar as I believe you are in a colder climate.

DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE FAINT OF WALLET.
I believe those are what GM/Chevrolet offers as the OEM Corvette Accessory battery maintainer.

Here is how I attached the Quick Connect plug under the hood. Ground to AC bracket, power to the junction box with 3/8 ring terminal and sealed with heat shrink.
