Are rancho 9000’s a good adjustable shock for a street/daily that can also be used at the track and perform decently? I see them mentioned a few times here
Good all around shock that doesn't necessarily excel at 1 thing. No complaints from my end, I am still running them but they do lift pretty bad at the track with plenty of horsepower. Are rancho 9000’s a good adjustable shock for a street/daily that can also be used at the track and perform decently? With good rear traction devices I’ve had luck with tieing the front end down . If the front end comes up it has the potential to unload the front tires plus it’s wasted energy that could be propelling the vehicle forward . I run double adjustable Vikings up front and single adjustable QA 1s in the rear . A lot of trial and error but I feel I have it dialed in . And the settings would need to be looser for the street unless your OK with a rough tight ride on the street .
Rancho 9000's valving adjusts both compression and rebound with a single knob. It's either firm or soft. I max them out on 9 and they do fine up to 700-800hp or so. Over 1000hp and they are just along for the ride. LolSo with rancho 9000s can you adjust compression and rebound? If I’m understanding correctly you basically want to stiffen up the rebound so the front end stays down and doesn’t unload?
Best I cut was a 1.77 on the lmm with some all terrains. Want to bring the lml out this spring and see if I can get a 12 out of her but know I’m gonna need a dam good 60’
