Between the toyo mt and trail grap which is better for ride handling and weight. I'm concerned with losing a ton of power on my lb7. And also 4.10 gears seem appropriate but I'm not sure if they are necessary yet

How much do you wheel? M/T's are heavy. If you don't wheel alot try looking into getting A/T's.

Thought about having a set of m/t's with rims for wheeling. Then a set of a/t's with rims for the road?

The 4.10's with 37's is more of an mpg setup. I have 4.56's with my 37's m/t's and the mpg's suck. For wheeling and around town the combo is awesome. Lots of low end torque. I don't wheel my dmax enough anymore to keep m/t's on it. When these wear out. I will be switching to a/t's to shave some weight.

Personally for tires I like Pro Comp's. Either of the two you stated are good tires. I heard guys getting more life out of the Toyo's with heavy ass trucks.

Also to take into consideration is road noise. And how annoying the noise will get when the tires wear.

I'm on my third set of Pro Comp Xtreme AT's. These are by far the best tire I've ever bought for my truck. Great tread wear, no noise on the road. I can't recommend them enough. Just my $.02

Thanks guys, for the most part the truck will see just road, but its not a daily driver. I will use it to tow my sand car to Yuma though every now and then and other than that just to play with. I've heard similar things about toyos, I was curious if the nitto s are the same, ill have to look into the pro comps

I completely agree with that, longest lasting, best wearing tire i ever ran. Had 42k on mine and still had another 5-8k left, they just didnt work too well in snow at that point so i bought some new tires before the snow season.

Those are the tires I will be switching to when these wear out. I tried to get them 2 years ago when I needed tires. Couldn't get them... 37x17's were sold out everywhere in the country and on back order for a couple months. I had to go with another set of Xtreme M/T's. Which are a good tire and well mannered on the road.

Procomp doesn't make a lot of the bigger sizes anymore. I'll probably end up going with toyo
