Bed welded on!

Okay boys and girls ive been trying to figure out how i can do this for a while without cutting the brackets off. When i bought the truck (LB7) the 6 bolts that hold the bed on are not there. Instead it is big globby welds in place of the front 4 bolts. Ive been thinking of ways to get this bed off to do some undercoating and maybe new crossmembers but cant seem to figure it out without having to cut the brackets off the frame. Anybody have any ideas for this mess!

X 2 if they're big globby welds maybe they're bad welders and you can just break it free by just grinding some weld off.

Grinding and cutting are your only options. Get to it.

One other option would be to use an Arc Gouger which can remove a weld a little at a time when done by a skilled welder .

If the weld is poor and doesn't have good penetration then you can probably wash it out with a torch.

Air arc and a torch will really make a mess of the paint or bed liner... I would grind it out as Tom mentioned.
